The children in Primary One enjoyed their first pancake day in school.
After GAA skills coaching, they were ready to make pancakes. The children checked on the scale that Ms Hughes had weighed out the ingredients correctly and observed very carefully how to cook pancakes. They have been learning about Fairtrade and so we ensured that as many ingredients as possible had the Fairtrade logo.
Mrs Dziubek prepared the tasty toppings and served the pancakes to the children who enjoyed them with their milk at snack time.
Before home time the children had their own ‘Great pancake race’ as they balanced bean bags on bats and made the most of the glorious Spring day. They practised tossing their ‘pancake’ and tried to see who could toss theirs the highest.
It was a fun-filled, Fairtrade, first pancake day at Grange! 🥞
