Tuesday 8th February was Safer Internet Day. Primary 6 & 7 have been learning about the ‘Safer Schools App’. This is a wonderful resource which was launched late in 2021 by the Department of Education. We decided to keep our ‘launch’ until this week to coincide with Safer Internet Day.
The ‘Safer Schools’ app focuses on safeguarding particularly in the online world, providing information and messaging on a full range of safeguarding and child protection issues. Parents can access advice on information on social media platforms popular with their children and their friends whilst school staff have access to a range of resources as well as up-to-date safeguarding information.
