❤️ P5/6 Restart a Heart Day ❤️
Today, our P5/6 pupils proudly took part in Restart a Heart Day, joining thousands across the country in learning vital life-saving skills. With enthusiasm and care, we practiced the CPR technique using our teddy bears as patients – a fun and memorable way to understand the importance of emergency response.
We also learned the essential code DR ABC, which helps us remember what to do in a medical emergency:
- D – Danger
- R – Response
- A – Airway
- B – Breathing
- C – Circulation / CPR
As part of our learning, we visited the staff room to view our school’s own defibrillator. It was a great opportunity to see where it’s kept and understand how it can be used in an emergency.
It was a fantastic day full of learning, confidence-building, and teamwork. We hope it inspires others to learn these crucial skills.
Well done, everyone!
