This was a very memorable morning for our Eco Team as they participated in a live link to St Francis of Assisi School in Mombasa.
We had been looking forward to talking to Fr Nicky Hennity and meeting pupils and staff of the school for some time. Today was the big day!
Undeterred by technical glitches in Mombasa and Grange, we went ahead with our planned chat, using a video call from the front playground of our school to St Francis’ School which is over 7,000 miles away from here.
We were treated to a song by the children in St Francis School and we even had a tour of the school building, popping into classrooms along the way to say ‘Jambo!’
We’re delighted to have established this connection thanks to the enthusiasm of Fr Hennity and we look forward to may more video calls in the future.
