Bee Safe
Our Primary 7 pupils had a fantastic morning at Newry, Mourne and Down District Council’s BeeSafe event in the Burren Hub. This brilliant multi‑agency initiative is designed to help Primary Seven children learn important lessons about staying safe in their everyday lives.
Throughout the morning the children took part in engaging activities and listened to informative presentations from NI Fire & Rescue on fire safety in the home, the Southern Health & Social Care Trust on nutrition, the PSNI on staying safe online, HAP on home safety, Translink on bus safety and NMDDC on the Take 5 approach to wellbeing.
It was a thought‑provoking and very worthwhile experience for our pupils. We’re sure many of them will be heading home to test their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors this evening!
Thank you to NMDDC for their organisation and for inviting us to attend.
