Bird Feeders for the Big School Birdwatch
The boys and girls in Primary 3 and Primary 4 have been very busy taking part in this year’s Big School Birdwatch. The children loved learning about the different types of birds that visit our school grounds, and they were eager to play their part in helping nature.
To encourage more birds to come to Grange, the pupils made their very own bird feeders using pipe cleaners and cheerios. This simple but effective design was a big hit — and the children enjoyed threading the cheerios while chatting about which birds they hoped to spot.
Although the weather has been extremely wet recently, the boys and girls didn’t let it dampen their enthusiasm. They placed their feeders carefully around the school grounds and are excited to keep watch and record any feathered visitors.
Well done, Primary 3 and 4, for all your hard work and for helping to make Grange a more welcoming place for wildlife!
