Primary 6 & 7 were delighted to be invited to the launch of the Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark at Cranfield today.
The children learned about the geology of the local landscape, created beach art and learned about the earth’s structure through a fun art activity.
After the work they were rewarded with a delicious lunch, courtesy of NM&DDC and an ice cream cone from Hugo. What a treat on a beautiful day at Cranfield!
We are most grateful to NM&DDC for extending the invitation to our children and enabling them to learn more about their local area. Our children are the future of the Geopark.
