Celebrating Legacy and Youth: The Inaugural Jerry Sheehan Memorial Hurling Tournament

4th Jun 2025

Today, we were proud to take part in the inaugural hurling tournament held in memory of Jerry Sheehan, former Vice Principal of St. Louis. Jerry’s passion for hurling and camogie left a lasting legacy in our community, and we are honoured to celebrate his influence through this special event. It is also a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the exciting new developments in hurling across the area.

We are especially delighted to once again meet Jerry’s son, Ronan Sheehan—current County Down Senior Men’s Hurling Manager and a proud past pupil of Grange. Ronan joined the teams at St Louis this morning, bringing with him the County League Trophy and the U20 All-Ireland Trophy, both secured this year—a fitting tribute to his father’s enduring impact on the sport.

A huge well done to our young team of Primary 5 and 6 boys for their fantastic participation and a special thank you to Miss Boylan for her support.
