Our Primary One pupils have been busy creating stunning silhouette artwork inspired by African animals as part of their topic based on the story Handa’s Surprise.
The children painted vibrant sunset backgrounds and carefully drew the outlines of various animals to create striking silhouette scenes. This creative project allowed them to explore a range of artistic skills, from colour blending and brushwork to observational drawing and cutting.
It’s been a fantastic way to combine storytelling, learning about animals and artistic expression — and the results are beautiful!
