Our Primary 1 and 2 pupils had an exciting and educational week as they took part in Road Safety Week! The children learned all about the importance of staying safe near roads and how to use the Green Cross Code.
Through fun activities, stories, and practical demonstrations, the pupils discovered the key steps to crossing the road safely:
- Think – Always plan where it’s safe to cross.
- Stop – Pause at the kerb and get ready.
- Look – Check carefully in all directions for traffic.
- Listen – Pay attention for any vehicles you might hear.
The children enjoyed practicing these steps and now understand why it’s so important to be alert and careful when near roads. We are proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to keeping themselves and others safe.
