Our Primary 6/7 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Slieve Roe today where they chatted with residents and Donard Day Care attendees. The discussion topic was ‘Hobbies and Interests’.
Each child brought along a small item that symbolised one of their hobbies and used it to spark lovely conversations with the residents. In return, the children learned all about the residents’ current interests, pastimes and the hobbies they enjoyed when they were younger.
It was a truly lovely morning, filled with a warm buzz of happy conversation. Everyone was equally delighted to meet and spend time with one another.
